“consulting”

My approach to health consulting begins with understanding your goals, the challenges you're experiencing, and the circumstances of your everyday life. Through an individualized assessment, we examine the different factors influencing your health and develop practical recommendations based on your needs, priorities, and ability to make meaningful changes.

People invest considerable amounts of time, money, and effort into improving their health, often with the expectation that those investments will produce a particular result. They change their diets, exercise regularly, prioritize sleep, take supplements, or pursue other interventions, yet the outcomes don't always reflect the effort they're putting in. And even when improvements occur, they may be limited to particular measurements without necessarily telling us how well the person is functioning as a whole.

I think there's a useful comparison to financial health. Someone can earn more money without becoming more financially secure if their expenses and liabilities are increasing alongside their income. Even reasonable financial decisions can produce different results depending on the economic conditions in which they're made. Our biology operates within an environment in much the same way, and those conditions can influence both our ability to function well and how we respond to the interventions we're using.

This is part of what guides my approach to consulting. I want to understand the person, the circumstances they're living in, and how the different factors influencing their health may be interacting. From there, we can begin identifying what deserves attention, whether the conditions surrounding them need to be reconsidered, and where their efforts and resources are most likely to produce meaningful improvements.
